I was beginning to wonder if the fairy wrens and co., had abandoned their usual haunts, but this morning at least two representatives turned up for the photo shoot. A rufous whistler came by too, but I lone have a photo of the twig it had lit upon. I managed to get a brown honey-eater to sing for me (or, at least, it deigned to do so, anyway_.
The birds were not as cooperative as I would have liked, but I think I got some ok shots.
I’ve been off on instagram and have neglected this blog. Here are a few photos from the time I’ve been away.

A male Australasian Darter takes off.
When I saw this little bird, I thought it was a Little Grass bird, or something like that, but now I think it might be a warbler of some sort (Brisbane area). The hare turned up, sniffed and left.
After encountering a male green jumping spider (fearsome creature), I’ve taken to using my old film era Tamron 80-210 zoom with a Canon extension tube for macro work. It gives me what I like to think is a safe distance from the subject.
